Your family may qualify for meal benefits
We are asking all families to explore completing the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application for the 2026-27 school year.
Free and Reduced-Price Meal applications help determine whether free meals can be offered at our schools and helps secure valuable state and federal funding for student programs.
Families who qualify may also unlock added benefits such as reduced utility bills and lower costs for school and community activities.
Even if you are unsure whether your family qualifies, we encourage you to apply or take our quick qualification quiz. Only one application per household is needed, and it takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
How to apply

- If you’ve already been approved through a DSHS data match, you should have received a confirmation email (please look in your spam/junk folders) or letter in the mail. In that case, you do not need to apply again.

Why it matters
This year, breakfast and lunch are free for ALL students at:
- Elger Bay Elementary
- Stanwood Elementary
These schools qualified under state law by meeting state thresholds last fall. That qualification will be reassessed again this October based on how many families complete the application. Submitting your form now ensures this important benefit has the best chance of continuing in the future.
The campuses below offered free meals last school year but will return to paid meals because they did not meet the state threshold.

- Twin City Elementary
- Church Creek Campus (Lincoln Hill High, Lincoln Academy, and Saratoga School)
